That’s the first thing they say. Clients, potential clients, acquaintances, and friends when I tell them I do photo organizing. I get that “deer in the head lights look” too. You mean you organize tubs and boxes of photos? Why would you want to do that? How do you even start? I didn’t even know people do that!

Are you nuts?

I can remember when I was a child and I got my first real camera. I would take the film down to the drug store or Kodak film shack to get developed and I loved the excitement of seeing how they turned out. I started keeping the photos in a shoe box, documenting on the outside of the envelope what they were and when the box was full, I documented on the box the series of dates so I could easily find a picture if needed. My nutty passion was just developing.

As years go by, so do our lives….your first real job, marriage, house, kid 1, kid 2, kid 3, dog, cat…. You get the picture.

Life happens and you tend to put things (your photos) on the back burner until you have time to get to them. Tubs and boxes later you are overwhelmed by the amount of photos that have accumulated over the years. Then you put them in the back room or dark closet to avoid them because you don’t have the time or ambition to tackle such a project. BUT deep down inside you really really want them organized. Maybe for reasons like when the kids graduate high school or go off to college you can make a scrapbook or slide show for them, or for a mile stone birthday black mail present…

Am I sounding like you yet?

Life happens in unfortunate ways too. You may have lost a loved one and boxes of photos need to be organized and divided with siblings. If you’re like me you also have boxes of photos from generations ago that were inherited.

I am here to help you with any of your photo organizing and scanning projects. It is possible and it is well worth the investment to have all your precious family memories ready to enjoy.

I do it because apparently I’m nuts! No, I do it because I love it.  The appreciation and joy I get in return from a client is what I love.
