My Evernote Story:

I first heard about Evernote at our annual National Association for Professional Organizers conference. I started using it slowly, but once I recognized how it was improving my life and business I couldn’t stop using it! I have found that the more I use Evernote, the more useful it becomes for me. Evernote has been a passion of mine for quite some time, so it’s wonderful to be officially recognized by the powers that be at Evernote now that I have received the Evernote Certified Consultant designation.

Evernote is like a big, empty container. You can throw a bunch of stuff into it and that doesn’t make you organized. As a Certified Professional Organizer®, my job is to teach people how to get organized and stay organized. Evernote has so many different applications for so many different people that it is my “go-to” technology solution. The problem as a
business owner begins when you are trying to figure out the most efficient way of sharing information with your employees, without compromising the integrity of the business. How do you trust employees with the lifeblood of your company and ensure the safety of the information in case that trusted employee leaves or otherwise becomes untrustworthy? How can you ensure that all of your company knowledge lives in one place and is shared among those who need access to it?

Evernote Business to the rescue! I love telling people how Evernote can capture all of their business cards or make all of their recipes searchable. But, I wasn’t fully aware of the power of Evernote until I took the ECC certification class. Wow! Once my team grew beyond 2-3 people, I struggled with managing our knowledge base, sharing information and files, etc. with the team. We are now utilizing Evernote Business as a solution that will resolve our information and knowledge management issues.
